    About this product

Blue Sea Systems MaxiBus 250A BusBar, six 5/16in stud terminals only, 250A, 300V AC / 48V DC max. Manufacturer PN 2126.

The Blue Sea Systems MaxiBus 250A BusBar - Six 5/16in-18 Studs is the largest all-stud MaxiBus configuration, giving six heavy-cable connection points on a single 250A-rated bar for consolidating multiple significant circuits in one place. It shares the same 250A continuous rating as the rest of the MaxiBus family, just with two more stud positions than the 4-stud version.

    Key features

    • 250A continuous rating, 300V AC / 48V DC maximum
    • Six 5/16in-18 stud terminals, no screw terminals
    • Insert-molded stainless steel studs eliminate the need for a securing nut
    • Recessed mounting holes prevent accidental shorts to metal mounting surfaces
    • Tin-plated copper CDA 110 bus material resists marine corrosion

This bar fits a larger positive or ground consolidation point — for example, a house bank's primary ground bus tying together a windlass, an inverter, a bow thruster, a battery charger, and two additional heavy circuits, all landing on ring terminals without a single screw-terminal connection in the mix. It's a strong fit for a busy engine room or lazarette junction point where several major circuits converge.

Torque all six stud terminals to 132 in-lb. An optional insulating cover (PN 2718, shared with PN 2105) is available if the installation needs insulated terminals for ABYC/USCG compliance. Because this bar concentrates several heavy circuits in one place, mount it somewhere with enough clearance to route six cables without sharp bends. Torque connections should also be re-checked annually since a bar carrying this many heavy circuits sees more thermal cycling than a lightly loaded bus.
