    About this product

Blue Sea Systems MaxiBus 250A BusBar, four 5/16in stud terminals only, 250A, 300V AC / 48V DC max. Manufacturer PN 2127.

The Blue Sea Systems MaxiBus 250A BusBar - Four 5/16in-18 Studs is the all-stud version of the MaxiBus family, built for installations where every connection is a heavier ring-terminated cable rather than a mix of ring and screw-terminal wires. It shares the same 250A continuous rating as the rest of the MaxiBus line, just without any screw-terminal positions.

    Key features

    • 250A continuous rating, 300V AC / 48V DC maximum
    • Four 5/16in-18 stud terminals, no screw terminals
    • Insert-molded stainless steel studs eliminate the need for a securing nut
    • Recessed mounting holes prevent accidental shorts to metal mounting surfaces
    • Tin-plated copper CDA 110 bus material resists marine corrosion

This bar suits a mid-size positive distribution point or ground bus where four heavier circuits — a windlass, an inverter feed, a bow thruster, and a house bank tie, for example — need to consolidate at one location without any lighter screw-terminal branch circuits sharing the same bar. It's a common step-up choice from the Common BusBar family when a system's amperage outgrows the 150A rating.

Torque all four stud terminals to 132 in-lb. An optional insulating cover (PN 2719, shared with PN 2128) is available if the installation needs insulated terminals for ABYC/USCG compliance. Check torque periodically at haul-out, since a loose stud connection at this amperage can generate meaningful resistive heat. Keep the mounting surface dry and free of bilge spray for long-term reliability, and route each ring-terminated cable with a smooth bend rather than a sharp kink at the stud connection.
