- Are your breaker panels Coast Guard approved?
- We build Coast Guard breaker panels around UL489 listed circuit breakers and document each panel (breaker ratings, wire sizes, labeling) so a Coast Guard inspector or surveyor can verify it against 46 CFR. Tell us the subchapter your vessel falls under and we build and document to it.
- What does UL489 mean on a marine breaker panel?
- UL489 is the safety standard for molded-case circuit breakers used as branch-circuit protection. Inspected and military vessels typically require UL489 listed breakers rather than UL1077 supplementary protectors, so every circuit in our panels is protected by a UL489 listed Carling breaker sized to its load.
- Can you build NEMA 4X breaker panels?
- Yes. For weather decks, engine rooms and washdown areas we build panels into NEMA 4X rated enclosures with sealed breaker boots and glands, so the panel stays protected from spray, hose-down and salt air.
- Do you build breaker panels for Navy, Army and Marine Corps vessels?
- We build marine military breaker panels for Navy, Army and Marine Corps support craft, patrol boats, landing craft and shipyard refits. Send the drawing or load list and any applicable specification (UL489, NEMA 4X, 46 CFR) and we quote to it, including Carling AM2 sealed-toggle breakers where the drawing calls for them.
- Do you build AC panels, DC panels and fuse panels?
- Yes. DC breaker panels for 12 and 24 V house loads, AC breaker panels for shore power, generator and inverter distribution (including combined AC/DC faces), and fuse panels for electronics and high-amperage ANL or Class T protection. Each is built, labeled and documented to the same standard.
- Do you sell prefabricated breaker panels?
- Prefabricated breaker panels in the most popular breaker counts are coming soon. There is no limit on breaker count: every panel is built to order from your load list today, usually quoted within one business day.
