About this product
Blue Sea Systems Class T Fuse Block, ignition protected, 160A max, 160V DC max, SAE J1171 / ISO 8846. Manufacturer PN 5007100.
The Blue Sea Systems Class T Fuse Block, PN 5007100, is the ignition-protected version built for installations where flammable vapors may be present — gasoline engine rooms and fuel tank spaces. It carries both SAE J1171 and ISO 8846 ignition-protection certification alongside CE conformity documentation.
Key features
- 160A maximum (limit continuous current to 80% of the fuse rating as best practice), 160V DC maximum
- Four-stud design gives clearance to install large cable lugs without fuse obstruction
- Stainless steel studs and one-piece flange nuts resist corrosion and high torque
- UL 94-V0 base resists high heat
- Ignition protected: SAE J1171 and ISO 8846
This block accepts Blue Sea's 110A, 125A, 150A, 175A, and 200A Class T fuses (PN 5112-5116). It's the block to reach for any Class T install inside a gasoline engine compartment; for the same amperage range without ignition protection requirements, a standard (non-IP) Class T block is a lower-cost option.
Torque terminal hardware to 72 in-lb, and keep the manufacturer's CE Declaration of Conformity and sales sheet on hand if the installation needs to document its ignition-protection compliance for survey or insurance purposes.
Beyond the SAE J1171 and ISO 8846 certifications themselves, having documented ignition protection can matter for insurance and survey purposes on a gasoline-powered boat, so keep the CE Declaration of Conformity on file with the boat's electrical records. If the installation doesn't involve flammable vapors — a diesel engine room, for instance — the standard (non-IP) Class T block covers a wider 225-400A range at a lower cost.
