About this product
Blue Sea Systems MAXI Fuse Block, ignition protected, 80A max, 32V DC max, screw terminals. Manufacturer PN 5006100.
The Blue Sea Systems MAXI Fuse Block, PN 5006100, is the current ignition-protected replacement for the earlier discontinued PN 5006. It's a single-circuit, screw-terminal MAXI fuse block rated to 80A, with a snap-on terminal cover that insulates all conductive parts to satisfy ABYC/USCG requirements.
Key features
- 80A maximum, 32V DC maximum
- Screw terminals compress the fuse blades for low-resistance connections; accepts 14-4 AWG wire
- Snap-on terminal cover with breakouts for wire access from the sides or bottom
- Ignition protected: SAE J1171 and ISO 8846
- Label recess accepts a large-format label
This block accepts any Blue Sea MAXI fuse up to 80A (PN 5138-5143), making it the block to use where a single MAXI circuit needs both screw-terminal wiring and ignition protection — for example, a branch circuit inside a gasoline engine compartment.
Torque the screw terminals to 25 in-lb, and keep the CE certificate on hand if the installation needs to document ignition-protection compliance.
This block suits a single high-current accessory circuit that needs both screw-terminal wiring and ignition protection in one compact footprint — a common pairing is a bilge pump, windlass control, or accessory feed routed through an engine compartment. The screw-terminal design also makes it easy to service or re-terminate the circuit later without re-crimping a ring terminal, unlike stud-style fuse blocks. Keep in mind this block covers one circuit only — for a multi-circuit MAXI installation, pair several of these blocks together or step up to a panel-style fuse block designed for multiple positions. A torque driver rather than a hand screwdriver is worth using here to hit the 25 in-lb spec consistently.
