    About this product

Veratron EngineBox Dual Engine Gateway is a centralized signal interface for converting conventional engine sensors and SAE J1939 engine data into NMEA 2000. It is designed for refits and OEM installations where one gateway needs to gather several analog signals rather than using one converter per sensor.

    Key features

    • 2x SAE J1939 engine interface
    • Analog inputs: 8x resistive, 2x frequency, 4x voltage, 2x 4–20 mA
    • Embedded analog-to-NMEA 2000 gateway
    • Embedded J1939-to-NMEA 2000 gateway
    • NMEA 2000 Micro-C connection
    • Compact status-LED enclosure
    • PC-based setup
    • ISO 8846 engine-compartment compliant design

    Integration and functionality

EngineBox accepts frequency, resistive, voltage and 4–20 mA signals plus SAE J1939. Supported values are converted and distributed over NMEA 2000 so compatible displays can consume them. This is particularly useful when bringing older analog engines or mixed-signal machinery into a modern NMEA 2000 helm.

    Installation

The enclosure is approximately 150 x 105 mm. Mount it in a protected, serviceable location with access to the multi-pin harness and Micro-C NMEA connector, and follow the manual for sensor ground/reference wiring and engine-instance setup.

    Electrical and environmental

12/24 V nominal with 8–32 V operating range. The enclosure is rated IPX9k-f and designed for engine-room temperatures down to -40 °C and up to +85 °C.
