    About this product

Blue Sea Systems Rotating Single Entry CableCap, small pair (black and red), for wing nut battery posts, 360-degree rotation. Manufacturer PN 4001.

The Blue Sea Systems Rotating Single Entry CableCap is built for batteries with integral wing nut posts — the style where the terminal itself is a wing nut rather than a separate adapter bolted on. Its top rotates a full 360 degrees, so the cable can exit in whatever direction the installation actually needs, without forcing an awkward bend at the terminal.

    Key features

    • Sold as a pair — one black, one red
    • Fits any cable size
    • Top rotates 360 degrees to allow cable entry from any angle
    • PVC construction resists corrosion and weathering in the marine environment

This rotating design is especially useful in tight battery compartments where a fixed-entry cap would force the cable into an awkward bend — rotate the cap to line up with however the cable actually needs to run, rather than rewiring the battery box to match a fixed cap orientation. It's a common upgrade when replacing an old, cracked cap that never fit the installation cleanly to begin with, or when consolidating spare parts across a boat with more than one battery terminal style.

Because it's sized for integral wing nut battery posts specifically, confirm your battery's terminal style before ordering — batteries with a separate marine adapter terminal bolted onto a standard post use the Standard CableCap family (PN 4005, 4006) instead, which is a different fit and won't rotate the same way once installed. Installing the wrong cap style typically won't seat securely over the terminal, so it's worth double-checking before ordering rather than discovering the mismatch mid-installation, wrench in hand.
