About this product
Veratron VL Flex 52 Intelligent Battery Monitor Kit - 12 V Black packages Veratron’s VL Flex digital gauge with an Intelligent Battery Sensor so a small helm can show real-time battery condition without adding a full multifunction display.
Key features
- Battery voltage, current and temperature measurement
- Calculated state of charge, state of health and remaining battery autonomy
- Sunlight-readable 1.44 in color VL Flex display
- Configurable single/dual data pages and alarm thresholds
- Contactless configuration with smartphone app
- 6 m (19.7 ft) fused sensor/gauge harness
- Optional resistive input can be used for a supported tank-level sensor
Integration and functionality
The Intelligent Battery Sensor is installed at the battery negative terminal so current entering or leaving the battery passes through the sensor. The VL Flex communicates with the IBS over LIN and can display measured and calculated battery information. Configuration and alarm thresholds are set with the Veratron mobile app.
Installation
The VL Flex uses a standard 52/53 mm-class round opening. The included 6 m harness connects the sensor to the gauge and includes the required fused positive supply connection. Keep all vessel loads on the system side of the IBS so current is measured correctly.
Electrical and environmental
The VL Flex gauge operates from 8–32 V and consumes less than 50 mA. The gauge front is IP67 rated.
