About this product
Veratron LinkUp IBS 24 V Battery Gateway - 255 Ah converts data from an Intelligent Battery Sensor into standard NMEA 2000 battery information, allowing compatible chartplotters and multifunction displays to show battery current, voltage, temperature and calculated condition information.
Key features
- Included Intelligent Battery Sensor mounts on the negative battery terminal
- Measures battery voltage, current and temperature
- Supports calculated state of charge, state of health and remaining autonomy
- NMEA 2000 output for compatible marine displays
- LIN connection between IBS and LinkUp gateway
- Contactless smartphone configuration via NFC/AirWave
- Sealed LinkUp housing suitable for engine-compartment installation
Integration and functionality
The IBS must be positioned so all vessel current passes through the sensor; loads connected directly to the battery negative post bypass the measurement and reduce accuracy. The LinkUp translates the IBS information onto NMEA 2000 for display elsewhere on the vessel.
Installation
Mount the IBS on the battery negative terminal and connect the vessel ground to the sensor-side adapter. The LinkUp gateway is NMEA 2000 powered and can be located near the battery/engine-room installation within harness limits.
Electrical and environmental
The gateway is sealed to IPX9/K and designed for harsh installations. Sensor electrical limits vary by this exact 12/24 V and capacity/current variant.
