    About this product

Blue Sea Systems Dash Socket, 12V DC, 15A max, watertight cap, 1-1/8in mounting hole. Manufacturer PN 1011.

The Blue Sea Systems Dash Socket is a standard 12V accessory socket built for marine use, with a watertight cap that protects the socket from spray and rain when not in use. It accepts any standard cigarette-lighter-style 12V plug, including Blue Sea's own PN 1010, and installs cleanly at any helm, console, or cabin location.

    Key features

    • 15A maximum, 12V DC
    • Watertight cap included, protects the socket from spray, rain, and dirt when closed
    • Mounts in a common 1-1/8in hole
    • Accepts any standard cigarette-lighter-style 12V accessory plug

This socket is a common upgrade over an old, corroded factory socket, or a straightforward addition anywhere a boat needs another 12V accessory point — at the helm, in a cabin, or near a cockpit seating area for portable electronics and accessories that need convenient, reliable, everyday access to 12V power without a permanent hardwired connection back to the panel.

Wire it through a fuse or breaker sized to the 15A maximum rating rather than relying on the connected accessory's own protection alone, since the socket itself has no built-in overcurrent protection at all. Keep the watertight cap closed when the socket isn't in use to get the full benefit of its spray protection, especially in an exposed helm or cockpit location.

This socket is a common companion to Blue Sea's 12 Volt Plug (PN 1010), but works equally well with any accessory that already terminates in a standard cigarette-lighter-style connector, including chargers, coolers, portable spotlights, and other 12V devices already on board.
