    About this product

Blue Sea Systems CableClam with stainless steel dress cap, fits cable up to 0.56in dia., connectors up to 1.40in. Manufacturer PN 1003100.

The Blue Sea Systems CableClam is a watertight cable entry fitting for routing a cable — complete with its connector already attached — through a bulkhead, deck, or console panel without needing to disconnect the cable first. The polished stainless steel dress cap gives it a finished, professional look on any exposed, visible panel or bulkhead location.

    Key features

    • Fits cable up to 0.56in diameter, with connectors up to 1.40in
    • Stainless steel dress cap for a clean, finished appearance
    • Mounts with #8 screws, 7/8in on center
    • Seals the pass-through against water intrusion once installed

This is a common solution for antenna cables, NMEA 2000 backbone cables, or any other cable that already has a bulky connector molded onto the end — rather than cutting a hole just big enough for the bare cable and struggling to feed the connector through, the CableClam's two-piece clamshell design opens to accept the connector, then closes around the cable to seal the pass-through against water intrusion once fully installed and secured.

Mount it with #8 screws on 7/8in centers, in a location that keeps the seal facing away from direct, sustained water exposure where possible, even though it's designed to be watertight once properly installed. This is a practical upgrade over drilling an oversized, unsealed hole and caulking around it after the fact, and it looks considerably more finished on a helm or console than a bead of sealant around a rough-cut cable pass-through that will eventually crack and let water find its way in.
