    About this product

Veratron NavSensor NMEA 2000 Multi-Sensor combines several navigation and environmental sensors in one NMEA 2000 module, reducing the need for separate GPS, heading, motion and weather sensors. It is particularly useful in sailing and navigation systems that need heading, position and vessel attitude together.

    Key features

    • Integrated GNSS receiver
    • Fluxgate electronic compass with tilt compensation
    • Pitch, roll and yaw/attitude sensing
    • Barometric pressure and air-temperature sensors
    • NMEA 2000 certified output
    • Top or pole mounting
    • Rugged plastic housing for exposed marine installation

    Integration and functionality

The inertial sensor complements GNSS to provide vessel motion, while the fluxgate compass supplies electronic heading data for compatible displays/autopilot systems. Barometric pressure and air temperature add basic weather awareness to the same network node.

    Installation

Install away from strong magnetic fields and current-carrying conductors that can disturb the compass. Top/pole mounting is supported with a 1-14 UNS-2B thread. A clear sky view benefits GNSS performance.

    Electrical and environmental

Manufacturer technical data lists 8–16 VDC operation, approximately 50 mA consumption and -20 to +70 °C operating range.
