About this product
Veratron AcquaLink NavBox Signal Interface is the central CPU and signal interface for an AcquaLink installation. Instead of landing every sensor at a display, NavBox gathers engine, navigation and analog information and distributes it to AcquaLink displays and controls over three VDO Bus lines.
Key features
- NMEA 2000 certified interface
- SAE J1939 CAN input
- Three VDO Bus output lines for displays/control stations
- Dedicated Veratron wind-sensor input
- Two dedicated Sumlog speed-sensor inputs
- 26-pin auxiliary connection for analog signals and NMEA 0183 receive
- Status LEDs and reverse-polarity protection
- Separate power input and aluminum base plate
Integration and functionality
NavBox is designed to translate and route mixed data sources into the AcquaLink ecosystem. J1939, NMEA 2000, analog sensors, wind and Sumlog information can be gathered centrally, then distributed over VDO Bus to multiple helm or chart-table displays.
Installation
Mount the unit where the analog harness and network connections remain serviceable. The 26-pin AUX harness is required for the broader analog/NMEA 0183 input set; dedicated M12 ports serve VDO Bus, NMEA 2000, J1939, wind and Sumlog.
Electrical and environmental
Supports 12/24 V systems and an operating-temperature range of approximately -20 to +70 °C. Product literature describes IPX4 protection front and rear for the NavBox assembly.
